§ 2-241. Definitions.

(a)

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Actual cost means the total cost of personnel including wages, fringe benefits and all other benefits and overhead related to the time spent in search of records.

Custodian means that officer, department head, division head, or employee of the village designated under section 2-243 or otherwise responsible by law to keep and preserve any village records or file, deposit or keep such records in his office, or is lawfully in possession or entitled to possession of such public records and who is required by this section to respond to requests for access to such records.

Direct cost means the actual cost of personnel plus all expenses for paper, copier time, depreciation and supplies.

(b)

The definitions set forth in Wis. Stats. § 19.32 "Public Records and Property—Definitions", shall be effective as definitions of the words, terms and phrases used in this article. All words, terms and phrases used herein, other than those specifically defined elsewhere in this article, shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them in Wis. Stats. § 19.32, and shall have the same scope and effect that the same words, terms and phrases have where used in Wis. Stats. § 19.32.
